Cary Hagan serves as president and CEO of Intrinsic Therapeutics, bringing more than three decades of experience in product development, sales and marketing to his work with the Barricaid device. Hagan served as vice president of marketing at Wright Medical, where he played an integral role in the rapid development of the Wright’s Orthobiologics program from its inception. He also was responsible for Europe, Middle East and Africa working from the EU headquarters in Amsterdam.
Greg Lambrecht serves as the company’s founder and executive director. He formerly held the title of vice president of product development and marketing at Stryker, where he furnished the global orthopedic implant company with executive oversight on multiple implant products. He lived and worked in the Asian markets for several years.
Since its launch, the Barricaid anular closure device has received a variety of industry distinctions. The Spine Journal published a study concluding that the device is superior to the standard of care utilizing discectomy alone. Recently, Orthopedics This Week named the anular closure device a “good option,” based on a cost-utility analysis.
